Faulkner Approved to Add Program

Mobile’s Faulkner University has been approved to add physical therapy to its College of Health Sciences this fall, Business Alabama reports. Now that it has Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education approval, the new program is scheduled to begin on August 23 for up to 50 students in its first class. Those who pass will earn a doctor of physical therapy, which allows them to apply for licensure to practice as physical therapists. The program involves a combination of classroom learning and clinical experiences over 38 weeks (eight semesters). Student applications are being accepted until June.
