Next Stream Saturday Is October 18

The Mobile Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a new Science, Technology, Recreation, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STREAM) Saturday on October 18 at 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Hillsdale Community Center in Mobile. Students will learn how fires start and spread and how firefighters, like those from the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department, work to contain and extinguish them. Open to children aged 5-13, the event will have experiments with how water, foam and other methods can put out fires. The event is free, but space is limited, and registration is required.
