Roof Replacements For Mobile County Schools Approved

The board of the Mobile County Public School System has approved several roof replacements at local schools, Call News reported. Work at Mary G. Montgomery High School includes its art, 400, 600 and 800 buildings; softball concession stand; fieldhouse; and baseball entrance. The low bidder, Johns and Kirksey, Inc., will perform the work for $528,200. Vigor High’s roof will be replaced by Double AA Construction for $512,500, O’Rourke Elementary School’s third- and fourth-grade classrooms’ roofs will be replaced by Summers Roofing for $160,080, and this company will also replace Fonde Elementary School’s roof for $89,654.
