Tashbin Named Griggs Principal

TILLMAN’S CORNER, Ala. — Stephanie Tashbin has begun her tenure as principal of W.C. Griggs Elementary School in Tillman’s Corner, the Southwest Mobile County Chamber of Commerce announced. Tashbin has served as a teacher, an academy specialist and an administrator during her 18 years with Mobile County Public Schools and has been an assistant principal for Citronelle High School for the last five years. She graduated from the University of South Alabama with a BS in elementary education, an M.Ed as a reading specialist and an Ed.S. in instructional leadership. “I believe that in order to educate our students, we must first know our students,” Tashbin said. “This year, I hope to build relationships with the students, faculty, staff and community in order to promote a positive and safe learning environment.”
