UM Doctor Of Nurse Anesthesia Program Expands

The University of Mobile (UM) doctor of nurse anesthesia program recently received approval from the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs to increase its class size from 12 to 15 students. The 36-month program, which UM calls “highly competitive,” is designed for students on a path to becoming certified registered nurse anesthetists. The application and interview process is nearly complete for students in the class of 2026, who will begin classes in fall 2023. Students will train locally while earning eligibility to attempt the National Certification Examination required to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. The deadline for applications for the class of 2027 is October 1.
