USA To Receive Old WKRG Set

MOBILE, Ala. — The University of South Alabama (USA) Department of Communication will soon own the old WKRG News 5 set, WKRG reported. The show is to have a new set, and USA’s old set will be retired. The new-to-USA set is to help students improve their skills as they get ready for jobs outside the classroom. The set will be reassembled at USA with new school logos and is expected to “help with student retention and student recruitment, and it’s going to increase the quality of the work they do on the set,” USA Department of Communication Associate Professor Steve Rockwell said.
