Mobile Opera’s Wright Wins Lifetime Achievement Award

Mobile Opera General and Artistic Director Scott Wright has been selected by the Alabama State Council on the Arts to receive the prestigious Johnnie D. Little Lifetime Achievement Award, Downtown Lowdown reported. Wright is the first recipient from Mobile and from the southern region of Alabama to be recognized with this distinction. Wright has been in his current role since 2010 and served as a conductor in residence at the University of Mobile since 2009. He is also a general director emeritus of the International Performing Arts Institute in Kiefersfelden, Germany.
