Shrimp Festival Coming Up

The Coastal Alabama Business Chamber has announced the 52nd Annual National Shrimp Festival for October 9-12 at the intersection of Highway 59 and East Beach Boulevard in Gulf Shores. There will be food, music, art and more for an estimated nearly 250,000 attendees. The performing headliners for the evening of October 9 will be Style, a Mississippi-based band, and The Troy Laz Band, which features a catalog ranging from James Brown to Bruno Mars to Wilson Pickett to Prince. Headliners for the evening of October 10 will be The Molly Ringwalds and The Velcro Pygmies. Headliners for the evening of October 11 will be Doctor Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monster and Best of British performing tributes to AC/DC and Def Leppard. The final day will see Crab Riot of Gulf Shores and The Groovinators performing between 3:30 and 5 p.m. All concerts may be attended for free.
