Baldwin County Animal Shelter Intake Building Opens
The Baldwin County Animal Shelter’s new intake building recently opened in Summerdale after two years of construction, Gulf Coast Media reported. An addition to the $4.7-million main facility that opened in October, the intake building accommodates 114 dogs and 30 cats. It is more resistant to inclement weather, larger and more sanitized to help prevent cross-contamination. The facility, at 15240 County Road 49, is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
