City Of Mobile Expands Citizens Academy With Ambassadors

The City of Mobile has announced that it is launching the “C251 Go! City of Mobile Ambassador Program.” Its 18 inaugural participants have all graduated from the C251 Citizens Academy, which was launched by the city’s community affairs department in 2021. Through this expanded program, the ambassadors will help promote city events, encourage civic engagement, build stronger communities, enhance communication and foster volunteerism in their networks and across Mobile. The program’s primary mission is to keep Mobilians informed about their local government, its priorities and its key initiatives. As part of its new volunteer role, these ambassadors will serve as official liaisons between residents and their city government.
