Foley Armory Project Contract Let

The Foley City Council recently approved a $1.88-million contract to Del-Con, LLC, a Morgan City, Louisiana-based general contractor, to renovate the former Alabama National Guard armory, located behind City Hall, for conversion into space for recreation facilities and city offices. The plans are for needed space for the Foley recreation department and other city offices near City Hall. It also includes a new indoor gym, offices for the parks and recreation and leisure services departments, a classroom for recreational programs and senior citizens activities, a climate-controlled space for museum archives and a sensory space for special-needs programming and events.
