JV Chosen To Proceed With Bridge, Bayway Project

Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson recently announced that the Alabama Department of Transportation has chosen joint venture (JV) Kiewit Massman Traylor (KMT) to proceed with both sections of the Mobile River Bridge and Bayway project—the cable-stay bridge and the new Bayway. KMT is set to begin pre-construction work in Mobile over the next few months. Additionally, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy also announced that the bridge project would be among 180 federal infrastructure grants being expedited for completion, reaffirming the $550 million Bridge Investment Program grant awarded to the project last summer.
