Loxley To Move Town Hall, Open Museum

LOXLEY, Ala. — Loxley plans a new city museum and town hall, Gulf Coast Media reported. Alexander "Andy" Bertolla recently donated property where his family operated packing sheds along Railroad Avenue to the city. A building there, constructed in 1935, is to be renovated and made into a community museum. Additionally, the city also plans to build a new town hall at the site and move municipal offices to the location. Community members aim to revitalize the area, making it the new Loxley downtown. While an opening for the museum is not yet announced, residents have started contacting the town to provide items from its past. Museum organizers have been working to collect such items for exhibit.
