Mobile Advances Millions For Road Resurfacing
The Mobile City Council advanced $5.2 million in road resurfacing projects supported by Mobile County’s Pay-As-You-Go program, Mayor Sandy Stimpson announced. This latest addition will enable the city to proceed with resurfacing 53 city streets that fall within County Commission District 1. This includes improvements to large sections of Conception Street Road and Virginia Street, as well as the resurfacing of several streets in the Campground and Morningside neighborhoods. Stimpson said $15 million in road and bridge improvements will occur within city limits across all three Mobile County Commission districts over the next several months.
