Mobile Citizens Academy Announced

The City of Mobile is now accepting applications for “C251: Citizens Academy,” it recently announced. It plans to launch a new program, aimed at teaching citizens more about how the city’s government functions, next month. The five-week program is intended to provide residents with an in-depth look at Mobile’s government through tours, hands-on demonstrations and presentations by city leaders. The aim is to give participants an insider’s view of the city and its functions, encourage citizens to become involved in the community and enhance Mobilians’ ability to communicate effectively with their government. The application period for the first cycle of the program has begun, and there will be a session every two weeks beginning on January 26, 2022, and running through March 16, 2022.
