Mobile Citizens Academy Applications Open

The City of Mobile is now accepting applications for “C251: Citizens Academy,” it recently announced. This fourth iteration of the yearly program aims to teach citizens more about how the city’s government functions over six weeks. It is intended to provide residents with an in-depth look at Mobile’s government through tours, hands-on demonstrations and presentations by city leaders. Participants will get an insider’s view of the city and its departments, encourage citizens to become involved in the community and enhance Mobilians’ ability to communicate effectively with their government. The application period of the popular program will close on February 28 at 5 p.m., and space is limited. The program begins on March 13, with graduation taking place April 17.
