Mobile Launches Licensing Webpage, Opens Summer Jobs Program

The City of Mobile has launched its new business license webpage, created by its revenue department as a one-stop shop for those obtaining or renewing a business license with the city. The step-based approach is intended to ensure applicants have the information they need about the location of their planned businesses, applicable zoning and any additional requirements for their specific type of business. A business license is required for any person, firm or entity conducting business from, into or within the city and its police jurisdiction.

Additionally, Mobile has opened applications for its Youth Empowered for Success (YES) summer jobs program, which aims to give young people an opportunity to gain work and life experience through part-time jobs with the city. YES programs will be open to those aged 16-24 and include jobs with the Parks and Recreation Department and other departments throughout the city. Applications will be accepted through January 31.
