Mobile Named In Startup Boom Article

The article highlights a boom of new businesses that started during the pandemic and emphasizes those that begin in areas outside traditional innovation hubs like Silicon Valley. “Entrepreneurs are taking leaps of faith to launch new businesses in places like Atlanta, New Orleans and here in Mobile,” Stimpson said. The article said new business applications in Mobile increased 127% between 2020 and 2022. Stimpson named the Mobile Chamber, Innovation Portal and local government agencies that support small businesses as some of the strongest growth-driving organizations for startups.
