Nearly $8 Million Appropriated To Mobile Airport

MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile Airport Authority has been awarded the largest of a $17.8 million federal appropriation for onsite capital improvements at Alabama’s airports, AL.com reported. The authority will use $6.7 million to reconstruct an apron and $940,000 to improve drainage at the Mobile International Airport, where groundbreaking is to take place in early 2023 for a $252 million, five-gate terminal for commercial aviation.
