Oak View Hires Civic Center Sales Director

Oak View Group, which manages the Mobile Convention Center, Saenger Theatre Mobile and upcoming Regions Arena, has named Genevieve Young as sales director to grow the private events business at the convention center. Young most recently served as senior sales and marketing manager for the Durham Convention Center in North Carolina. In this role at Oak View, she also worked as integrated marketing manager for U.S. Disc Golf, where she led marketing strategy for the U.S. Disc Golf Championship. Prior to that, she was sales and marketing manager after beginning her career with Oak View Group in March 2022 as an event manager at the Durham Convention Center. During her tenure in North Carolina, she automated internal processes, led execution of marketing strategy, contributed to record-setting revenue performance and helped drive new business.
