Prolific West Mobile Growth Discussed

MOBILE, Ala. — NBC15 recently reported on the booming growth of West Mobile, which is being built up with new stores, restaurants and residences. "We experienced … the largest growth in the West Mobile Southwest Mobile County area that we had ever seen," said County Commissioner Randall Dueitt, who alluded to future annexation by the City of Mobile. Mobile Realtor Jeff Jones said the West Mobile housing market “keeps growing and growing, and developments [are] just popping up all the time. A lot of the folks I work with, they want to be close to the schools, obviously they don’t want to be driving a long way, and, of course, that’s out there in the Baker area. Then, you’ve got Jeff Hamilton and McFarland; that area is just booming with new developments, new construction.… It seems like every time I turn around, I’m hearing about a new development."
