State VA Meeting, Holding Job Fair In Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. — Mobile will serve as the next stop on a statewide tour of veterans’ wellbeing town halls hosted by the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Alabama’s Challenge for Preventing Suicide Among Service Members, Veterans, and Their Families, Mayor Sandy Stimpson announced. The town hall is scheduled for May 23 at 10 a.m.-2 p.m. atBattleship Memorial Park and will be followed by a resource and job fair. The event is open to all veterans, friends and family members of veterans in Coastal Alabama. The town hall will feature presenters from the community, state and national levels discussing the various services available to assist Alabama veterans. Additional service providers will also be available during the resource and job fair.
