Infirmary Health Hosting Inaugural Connection Day

Infirmary Health is hosting its inaugural Connection Day today for area high school seniors from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at ProHealth Fitness Center on the campus of Mobile Infirmary. Seniors enrolled in the school’s Health Science program, along with their instructors, have been invited to participate in this interactive, hands-on career expo to become familiar with healthcare career opportunities, including high-demand jobs, apprenticeship programs, training programs and entry-level positions. Seniors and instructors from 11 area health science programs, including Baker, Chickasaw, Leflore and Williamson high schools, will make rounds with Infirmary Health clinical staff from departments such as nursing, pharmacy, occupational, physical and speech therapy, radiology and more. Students will have the chance to garner real-world experience and ask questions about the healthcare service lines that most interest them. Infirmary Health Connection Day is designed to create awareness about local healthcare career options among students and educators, while addressing the workforce needs on the Gulf Coast.
