Infirmary Health Pharmacists Honored By ALSHP

The Alabama Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ALSHP) has recognized two pharmacists from Infirmary Health for exemplary contributions to patient care, clinical excellence and the advancement of pharmacy across the state. Dr. Abigail Osborne, a clinical specialist at Thomas Hospital, has been named the ALSHP Outstanding New Practitioner of the Year. She contributes extensively to therapeutic drug monitoring, stewardship initiatives, Epic optimization and pharmacy protocols. Outstanding New Practitioner of the Year was awarded to Dr. Christopher Whiteman, infectious disease specialist at Infirmary Health, for exceptional professionalism, clinical excellence and meaningful contributions to practice improvement. Whitman leads the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and has made a measurable impact on antibiotic usage and patient outcomes across the system.
