USA Health Adds Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician

Dr. Sara Garcia Shank has joined USA Health as a developmental behavioral pediatrician. Developmental behavioral pediatricians provide care for children and adolescents with developmental delays and learning difficulties, and they detect and manage the treatment of autism. Shank is one of approximately 800 developmental behavioral pediatricians in the U.S. Shank, also an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of South Alabama (USA) Whiddon College of Medicine, is a board-certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She completed a fellowship in developmental and behavioral pediatrics at the Baylor College of Medicine’s Meyer Center for Developmental Pediatrics and Autism. She finished her residency in pediatrics at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She graduated from medical school at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and is a cum laude graduate of Baylor University with a BS. Shank is accepting new patients at the USA Health Strada Patient Care Center.
