USA Health Director Named To Top Black Healthcare Leader List

MOBILE, Ala. — USA Health’s Chad Collins, a director of operations at University Hospital in Mobile for digestive health and other service lines, was recently recognized as one of “75 Black Healthcare Leaders to Know | 2022” by Becker’s Hospital Review. Collins oversees the operations for gastroenterology and neurology, as well as inpatient physical therapy and laboratory operations. He’s helped grow the gastroenterology division, reduce costs, improve patient and employee satisfaction, and decrease staff turnover. He has received numerous recognitions, including the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Gold Plus rating for heart failure and the 2021 AHA Gold Plus rating for strokes. About the list, Becker’s writes that it “is thrilled to highlight the amazing work Black leaders and executives are doing in communities across the U.S. Their perspective is valuable to build strong organizations, community partnerships and clinical programs promoting health equity and inclusion.”
