USA Health Hits Vaccination Milestone, to Expand Age Range

USA Health in Mobile recently announced surpassing having given 70,000 vaccine doses. Next, it plans to inoculate those age 12 and up by expanding distribution and providing the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to adolescents. “The vaccine has been highly effective in clinical trials in the adolescent age population with 100% protection seen in the control group,” said Dr. Benjamin Estrada, pediatric infectious diseases specialist with USA Health and professor and vice chair of pediatrics at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He added that there is no evidence the vaccine will affect a child’s development and that there has never been a vaccine linked to infertility. To make an appointment to get the vaccine, visit website or one of several local planned popup vaccine clinics.
