USA Health Names Medical Director Of PCU

MOBILE, Ala. — Dr. Siva Parcha, a hospitalist/internal medicine physician with USA Health, was named medical director of the progressive care unit (PCU) at USA Health University Hospital in Mobile. The PCU provides a level of care to patients who are not sick enough for the intensive care unit but not well enough to move to a regular hospital floor. Parcha, an assistant professor of internal medicine at the University of South Alabama (USA) College of Medicine, will continue his role as a hospitalist, a physician who cares for hospitalized patients. He has worked as a hospitalist for the past seven years at facilities throughout the U.S. Parcha received his medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. He completed residency training in internal medicine at Texas Tech University Health Science Center at Permian Basin.
