New Hotel And Restaurant Planned For Bay Minette

Cobblestone Hotels and Big Mike’s Steakhouse are soon coming to Bay Minette, according to the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance (BCEDA). These locations represent ongoing collaboration between the City of Bay Minette, North Baldwin Utilities, BCEDA, Alabama Power Co. and other local partners fueled by Novelis Inc.’s investment in the area in conjunction with its facility construction in Bay Minette. Cobblestone Hotel will bring one of its Mainstreet by Cobblestone concepts to the corner of McMillian Avenue and D’Olive Street. The 40,000-ft2 hotel will have 54 rooms, including six extended-stay suites, and offer amenities such as an indoor pool, a fitness center, a complimentary hot breakfast and free Wi-Fi. Each room will feature historical artwork highlighting the community’s charm. Cobblestone will create 10 new jobs, with construction estimated to begin in March 2025 targeting a summer 2026 opening. Big Mike’s Steakhouse has six Alabama locations, including one in Orange Beach, and is expected to open another soon on North Hoyle Avenue in Downtown Bay Minette. The restaurant will offer afternoon and dinner service, creating an estimated 40 new jobs for the community. Construction will begin in the coming weeks targeting a July 2025 opening.
