Original Oyster House Awards Annual Scholarships

The Original Oyster House awarded its 18th-annual Chelsea Garvin Spirit Scholarships to Maggie Britt of Daphne’s Bayside Academy and Alice Raybosh of Fairhope High School, Gulf Coast Media reports. Britt plans to attend Mississippi State University, and Raybosh plans to attend Auburn University this fall. This year’s awardees reflect Chelsea Garvin’s spirit and artistic talent. Britt submitted a multimedia piece with brilliant colors finished with an epoxy resin, and Raybosh’s textural oyster earned the most votes from this year’s scholarship committee. Her community work also made an impact. The winning artworks will be on display at both Original Oyster House locations.
