Alfa Foundation Scholarship Updates

The Alfa Foundation has announced the award of $1,750 scholarships each to Hallie Corte of Baldwin County and Mary-Coker Green of Mobile County. They were among 80 students statewide who received a total exceeding $150,000 the insurance foundation earmarked for scholarships to land-grant university students majoring in agriculture or forestry. This is in addition to the $100,000 announced last month to students attending Alabama colleges, universities and technical schools. Submissions are now being accepted through February 1, 2024, for the next iteration of the scholarships. The foundation will award 100 scholarships for $1,000 each to students attending Alabama colleges, universities and technical schools and up to 67 scholarships for $1,750 each to students majoring in agriculture or forestry at Auburn, Alabama A&M and Tuskegee universities.
