Applicants For Mobile County Circuit Court Bench Named

Eight lawyers have applied to fill a vacancy on the Mobile County Circuit Court bench, FOX10 is among outlets to report. The position became available when Circuit Judge James Patterson died in January. The applicants are Vicki Davis; Marcus Tirrell Foxx; Winston Raoul Grow; Russell Dean Johnson; William Robert Lancaster; Carol Joanne Carr Little; Clifford Thomas Nelson, Jr.; and Derrick Vincent Williams. Members of the public can offer comments on the nominees until May 5 at 5 p.m. Communications will be kept confidential and should be made by mail. Then, the five-member Mobile County Judicial Commission will narrow the applicants to three recommendations. Gov. Kay Ivey will appoint one of the finalists to finish Patterson’s term.
