Bucci Announces Candidacy For District Judge

Assistant District Attorney (DA) Johana Bucci has announced her candidacy for Mobile County District Judge, Place 6. Bucci graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in Spanish. She received her JD from the Jones School of Law before joining the Mobile County DA’s Office as an assistant DA. She serves as a leader of the Sexual Assault Response Team and is the DA’s representative to the Mobile County Domestic Violence Task Force. She is active in the Alabama State Bar and Mobile Bar associations. She currently serves on the Executive Council of the state bar’s Young Lawyers Section and is a former president of the Mobile Young Lawyers section. She is vice chair of the board for Fuse Project and is on the boards for Friends of Municipal Park and the Alabama Coalition Against Rape. She is a “Big Sister” to two young ladies through Big Brothers Big Sisters.
