Chambers Joins Cunningham Bounds
Cunningham Bounds has announced the addition of attorney Carmen Chambers to the firm. Chambers joins Cunningham Bounds after serving at a prominent corporate defense firm, where she rose to the position of shareholder. The company said her breadth of experience in complex litigation allows her to bring a strategic, informed perspective to plaintiff-side trial work. Chambers earned her JD from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as senior development editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. She spent her final year working full-time as a student attorney in the Georgetown Law Juvenile Justice Clinic representing youth in the Washington metropolitan area charged with delinquency. Her outstanding service to the Georgetown Law community earned her both the Dean’s Certificate and a Certificate of Distinction for her advocacy on behalf of the LGBTQ community. A Mobile native, Chambers returned home in 2025 to continue her career in plaintiff-side litigation. In addition to her legal practice, she serves as vice-chair of the board of the Alabama affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union.
