Cunningham Bounds Attorneys Named To Best Lawyers In America List

Cunningham Bounds has announced that 13 of its attorneys have been recognized in the latest edition of The Best Lawyers in America. This includes 12 attorneys named to the Best Lawyers list and one named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch. Additionally, three attorneys—Skip Finkbohner, Steve Nicholas and Dave Wirtes—were named a 2025 Mobile “Lawyer of the Year,” the publication’s highest honor reserved for attorneys who received the most votes during the Best Lawyers selection process. The honorees are Wirtes, Toby Brown, Finkbohner, Nicholas, Glenn Kushel, David Cain, Billy Bonner, Robert Mitchell, Brian Duncan, Lucy Tufts, Nick Moraitakis and Chris Estes. The Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch 2025 honoree is Joseph McGowin. Using a selection process weighted heavily on peer review, attorneys who earn the highest marks from their colleagues are named to either The Best Lawyers in America or Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, the latter of which recognizes attorneys who have been in practice 10 years or less. No more than 5% of all practicing attorneys earn a spot on the final list. Even fewer earn the “Lawyer of the Year” title.
