Hall Inducted Into Alabama Lawyers Association Hall Of Fame

Mobile Bar Association (MBA) member Municipal Court Judge Shelbonnie Hall has been inducted into the Alabama Lawyers Association (ALA) Hall of Fame. The ALA Hall of Fame honors lawyers who have been licensed to practice law for at least 25 years and have made significant contributions to the cause of justice. Hall graduated from W.P. Davidson High School in Mobile. She received a BS from Florida A&M University in 1983 and a master of social work from Florida State University in 1985. She received her JD from the University of Tennessee School of Law in 1987. Upon graduation, she worked as a staff attorney for Legal Services Corp. of Alabama in Opelika. In 1991, she moved to Mobile to work as an assistant attorney general for the State of Alabama. In 1995, she joined the City of Mobile Legal Department as an assistant city attorney, where she served as a city prosecutor. She was admitted to practice in all trial and appellate courts of Alabama and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle districts and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
