MBA Accepting Nominations For Liberty Bell Award

The Mobile Bar Association (MBA) is now seeking nominations from the community for the Liberty Bell Award. The association annually recognizes “an outstanding non-lawyer in the Mobile community whose service has strengthened the American system of freedom under law.” Established more than 30 years ago by the American Bar Association, the award is given to an outstanding citizen who has promoted a better understanding of the Constitution, encouraged respect for the law and the courts, stimulated a deeper sense of individual responsibility, contributed to the effective functioning of our government, and/or fostered a better understanding and appreciation of the rule of law by their service. The nomination deadline is April 16, and the award will be presented at the MBA May Membership Luncheon on May 14 at The Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa in Mobile.
