MBA Announces Officers For 2024

The Mobile Bar Association (MBA) has announced its officers for 2024. Raymond L. Bell, Jr. is president. He is a shareholder with Maynard Nexsen and practices in the areas of governmental relations and regulatory affairs. Judge Judson W. Wells, Sr. is president-elect. He is a shareholder with Carr Allison and practices in the areas of labor and employment, professional liability, personal injury, worker’s compensation and insurance claims. Wells served as a Mobile County District Court judge from 1997 to 2007. Mary Margaret Bailey is vice president. She is a partner with Frazer Greene and practices in the area of civil defense litigation with an emphasis on appellate law. Jenna J. York is secretary. York is with Cunningham Bounds and practices in the areas of automobile and trucking accidents, premises liability, products liability, industrial accidents, medical malpractice and fraud. Brian K. Smithweck is treasurer. He is with Adams Reese and practices in the areas of corporate, partnership and limited liability company planning; estate planning; probate; trusts and estates; mergers and acquisitions; tax planning; and tax controversies. Gordon G. Armstrong, III is assistant treasurer. He is a solo practitioner in the areas of federal and state criminal defense, general litigation, collection law and personal injury. The officers, along with the full executive committee, lead the MBA and its more than 1,000 members.
