Myer Grows, Invests In West Mobile

Mobile-based Myer Marine Services is expanding its West Mobile facility by more than 50% and will hire 50 new employees (which would put its headcount over 120) over the next several years, it announced via the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce. A $5.5-million investment is to add 36,000 ft2 to the current manufacturing operations. The company also plans to purchase multiple adjacent buildings and add equipment needed to increase services and capacity. A 12,000-ft2 recently purchased building will be restored and house Myer’s engineering department, sales team and administrative staff. The company’s growth is driven by a growing customer base, especially in the dredging and construction industries, said Bradley Myer, vice president of business development. President David Myer added, “Since our founding in 2013, we have been very blessed to have continued steady growth for eight straight years, thanks to our talented and dedicated team of employees. We look forward to what is next.”
