Simpson Strong-Tie, VEYER Open At SALP

Simpson Strong-Tie, a manufacturer of structural construction products, and VEYER, a subsidiary of Office Depot that provides logistics and final-mile delivery services for major companies, have opened their warehousing and logistics facilities at Theodore’s South Alabama Logistics Park (SALP). “Both businesses were drawn to Mobile because of developments like SALP, which is strategically designed to give businesses easy access to transportation by ship, rail, truck and air,” Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson said. “With 1,300 acres for development and five businesses (and counting) on campus, SALP is the largest master-planned logistics park between Texas and Georgia. Less than four years after it was first announced, SALP represents a total investment of over $100 million and over 250 new jobs.”
