Stimpson Appointed To Port Authority

Former Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson has been appointed to the Alabama State Port Authority by Gov. Kay Ivey, the governor’s office announced. Stimpson, who served as mayor of Mobile from 2013 to 2025, fills a vacancy on the governing body that oversees the state’s docks. He will serve as the authority’s representative for the Southern Region through July 2030. Other appointments to the authority are Tony Cochran and Patricia Sims.
