Update On Aldi Distribution Center

LOXLEY, Ala. — Germany-based grocery store Aldi recently reaffirmed its commitment to the major distribution center (BBN #28 and 40) under construction in Loxley, Business Alabama reported. It is slated to open later this year, serving up to 100 stores in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and the Florida panhandle. The company is in the process of hiring 200 warehouse workers as it aims to become the nation’s third-largest grocery chain by number of stores by the end of this year. Two new stores are to open along the Gulf Coast in March, joining a planned total of 20 new Aldi stores this year.
