Butting Bringing North American Headquarters To Loxley

Global stainless steel pipe manufacturer Butting has announced plans to establish its North American headquarters and first U.S. production facility in Loxley, Gulf Coast Media reports. The facility will be constructed on a 50-plus-acre site in the established Loxley industrial corridor. The project will be executed in two strategic phases, totaling a $61-million capital investment and creating up to 100 jobs with wages well above the Baldwin County average. Founded in 1777 and headquartered in Knesebeck, Germany, Butting is an international leader in stainless-steel pipe technology, clad pipes, customized spools and components, and cryogenic pipe and valve technology systems. The company already operates in Germany, Finland, Brazil, Canada and China. “Our decision to locate in Baldwin County was driven by the area’s overall attractiveness to live and work, a skilled labor force, proximity to key transportation routes and welcoming business environment,” said Adrian Rochofski, CEO managing director of Butting USA. The official launch of Phase 1 is expected this fall, with construction and hiring increasing within the next few weeks.
