TechLine Holds Student Tours

SPANISH FORT, Ala. — To celebrate National Welding Month in April, TechLine Mfg. hosted students from the Academy at Fairhope Airport, part of Baldwin County Public Schools, on a tour of its manufacturing facility in Spanish Fort. Two separate groups, made up of mostly high school juniors and seniors learning welding, electrical and/or instrumentation skills at the academy, toured the facility to learn about the company and connect what they are learning in school to careers in manufacturing. The groups were shown how the 40-year-old business produces electrical and instrumentation support products for industry, including how it receives raw materials, then cuts, welds and cleans them in preparation for production. They were also shown the types of welding methods used at TechLine to produce aluminum, stainless-steel and carbon-steel products.
