Davidson Graduate Receives Ticket To Hollywood

MOBILE, Ala. — Davidson High School graduate Tyler Allen made his debut on ABC’s American Idol last week and received a ticket to Hollywood after wowing judges with his rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Believe in You and Me,” which he dedicated to his 1-year-old nephew who passed away in a car accident last year, according to Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson. Allen previously toured with the University of Mobile ensemble Voices of Mobile and has worked as a worship leader.
