Gulf Coast Media Under New Leadership

Gulf Coast Media, co-owned by Jack and Kyle Osteen, now has a new publisher, Vince Johnson. Johnson is also publisher of The Sumter Item in Sumter, South Carolina, according to GulfCoastNewsToday.com. In corresponding moves, The Sumter Item’s executive editor, Kayla Green, has been named executive editor and Micah Green has been named chief digital officer of both Gulf Coast Media and The Sumter Item. Gulf Coast Media consists of newspapers serving communities across Baldwin County (The Baldwin Times, The Courier, The Onlooker and The Islander), as well as tourism-related publications and GulfCoastNewsToday.com, a website dedicated to the Alabama Gulf Coast. Gulf Coast Media was purchased by brothers Jack, Kyle and Graham Osteen as part of OPC News LLC in 2014. Last week, OPC News split into two separate companies. Jack and Kyle Osteen now co-own Gulf Coast Media in Alabama, a newly formed company. Parks Rogers has moved from his role as publisher of Gulf Coast Media to serve the same role at the Lexington County Chronicle in Lexington, South Carolina.
