Mobile Minority-Owned Business Wins Technology Makeover
MOBILE, Ala. — Comcast recently announced it has awarded a technology makeover to Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC)-owned small business Monéppetit, LLC, a Mobile-based blog and art and graphic design company. The recipient is one of more than 8,000 entrepreneurs nationwide selected as Comcast Representation, Investment, Strength and Empowerment (RISE) awardees in the program’s fourth phase. As part of the technology makeover, Monéppetit will receive computer equipment and internet, voice and cybersecurity services for up to 12 months. Comcast RISE program supports BIPOC- and women-owned small businesses. It is part of Project UP, Comcast’s comprehensive initiative to advance digital equity and help provide underrepresented small business owners with access to the digital tools and funding they need to thrive. Monéppetit plans to launch its website this month and already has a presence on social media.
