Air Purification Grant For Mobile Downtown Business

MOBILE, Ala — The nonprofit Downtown Mobile Alliance has announced its Downtown Strong Air Purification Grant. Eligible businesses will be reimbursed up to $700 for installation of an ultraviolet advanced oxidation air purifier, which covers the entire cost of many such systems. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends a layered approach to reducing exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19. A component of this approach is ventilation system upgrades. Such improvements also potentially have long-lasting positive effects for many types of air pollutants, such as volatile organic compounds, mold, bacteria and viruses.
