AL Spark Grant Program Distributes $7,000 In Foley

Community foundation Foley Main Street, Inc. has kicked off AL Spark, an initiative of Main Street Alabama supported by the Small Business Administration. AL Spark is designed to energize emerging and growing businesses in designated Main Street Alabama communities across the state. By empowering locally directed business development, this new marketing grant program aims to ignite the potential of small businesses and entrepreneurs. The following Downtown Foley businesses will each receive an AL Spark Illuminate marketing grant of $1,000: Colt Grill BBQ & Spirits, Cooper Twin Consignment Store – Foley, Dorothy June Booksellers, Feast & Co., Foley Brunch & Supper Club, Southern Shore Eats & Drinks and Soul Bowlz – Foley. “Illuminate” is the marketing grant portion of AL Spark, with its two other portions being “Livewire” (business development) and “Bright Ideas” (business pitch competition).
