Applications Open For State Funding

The Local Agency Review Committee (LARC) of LARC 11, representing Southwest Alabama’s eight-county region—Mobile, Baldwin, Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Escambia, Monroe and Washington—is calling on local nonprofits to apply for funding through the 2025 Alabama State Combined Campaign (SCC). The SCC, which kicks off in August 2025, empowers state employees to make meaningful contributions to vetted local and statewide charities through payroll deductions. Since 1993, Alabama state employees have donated more than $21 million, funding services such as health programs for seniors, mentorship for youth, job training for the chronically unemployed and meals for families experiencing food insecurity. Interested nonprofits are encouraged to attend an Agency Information and Training Workshop on February 14 at 8:30 a.m. at Goodwill Gulf Coast in Mobile. This workshop will provide key details about the application process and campaign participation. Interested nonprofits may RSVP by February 10 via email. The deadline to submit applications for funding is March 13 at 4:30 p.m.
